INHABITING exercises of embodiment
Belmonte Arboretum, Wageningen with InMotion dance traces…and guest artists
InMotion dance traces has been invited from ‘Beelden op de Berg’ to contribute to the Exhibition Summer Snow in Belmonte Arboretum taking place between 17 June and 23 September 2018, on the theme ‘ eternal rejuvenation’.
The theme is touching upon transformation and nature and the installations of the various artists which are placed in space give back their own perspective and imagination.
I have been asking myself what would make sense to make or to do in such a context at this moment in time!?
Instead of a made site-specific performance, I am happy to contribute my/our voice with an ongoing instant composition practice as a way to inhabit the place in a constant happening. In this way the form of the event brings us in contact with a sense of continuum, in space and time, where different moments can be housed, diffusing the expectation and providing an experience for both performers and public.
Focusing on the idea of transformation through embodiment we will be PRESENT and allow the poetry of a moment to crack through the ordinary and habitual human action, by opening our senses in order to dialogue with the environment.
In this way, nature itself is a witness of our presence and instant poems, as well as the public, in its witnessing role, will play a vital element to the unfolding moment!
I open to this moment in Time to vibrate and resonate and find
myself vulnerable there where I meet the Other
